The Amazon price is also highly inflated. I want to say $25 is normal for this.
Yet it seems to me the additional length would be a detriment in many real world situations (kind of like only having a set of deep well sockets). And if you had any flange bolts, well...it'd only work half the time...
Plus will these still work well once they've experienced a bit of dirt / grit / grime?

That can of fix a flat will be no good by the time it's needed or the included tire inflator is overheated from running too long.
Times are changing, gone is the ability for people to be independant and work things out. That screen in the dash and what it does along with the fancy gismos are the deciding factor.
The sides are somewhat thick if using it for the smaller of the socket sizes, for HVAC the 1/4 and 5/16 does not fit in spaces to get contactors caps and other electrical components out like a normal flip socket. The 2 sizes are on different ends so when taking screws out in the open one still needs to flip when people use different screws. Maybe it works better for an electrician?

Can the same be said about home appliances? Most of my tools are metric
but I have a decent amount of DAE stuff to keep me out of a jam.
