Man I just picked up an open box of the Ultra 5 version on Saturday. Now an open box of this Ultra 7 version is even cheaper. Back to Best Buy for me, thanks for the deal!
I haven't had a chance to run it through it's paces yet, but it feels like a solidly built machine. Be warned though, it is a bit heavy for a 14" notebook. SSD is replaceable (2280 NVMe).

I picked this up today for $649.99 it was a Best Buy members deal. The build quality on this is exceptional and this has one of the best keyboards you'll get on a laptop.

How bad is the display? That always seems to be the first thing they compromise on when making the cheaper laptops.

Why is the 14" so much more expensive than the 16"? I got a 16 open box for $400 vs open boxes of this are $600.

Brightness wise, 400 nits is decent for the average user but isn't the best nor the worst. The crap part is the ~62% SRGB, or ~45% ntsc color which will appear muted if you're used to anything higher.

Most importantly, how is the battery life on this? Can we get at least 6-8 hours in full charge of normal use?

It's missing a monitor from this decade and sufficient RAM to be okay with it not being upgradeable.

I have not tested it yet it's almost always plugged in. I'm guessing it's pretty mid and I'm skeptical about these new ultra AI processors supposedly giving you much longer battery life.

This laptop came out a few weeks ago apparently I had just found that out .. Everything from the build quality to the exceptional keyboard and trackpad and the nice gorilla glass touchscreen.. 0 throttling and staying cool no matter what I throw at it. REALLY makes it a joy to use for several hours a day. This is my wife's and I'm considering getting this or something very similar around BF.
