That's $ 50 more than the recent $ 399 sale at many retailers during Prime week. Savings of $ 15 on AppleCare. Net difference with AppleCare savings is $ 35 more than the $ 399 deal. Added $ 10 savings with Executive membership. Costco 90 day return policy makes this tempting. I passed on the $ 399 deal but may go for this.
You think they're better sounding than the xm6?
I've owned the lighting version of the AirPods Max which exactly the same minus the usb-c port. I lost my pair unfortunately. I remember that it had great sound and at the time the best noise cancellation I had experienced.
I now have the xm6 and the noise cancellation is the best I've experienced. They are also lighter, which was an issue with the AirPods Max. That and the fact that you can't turn them off without using the dumb bra looking case is the reason I didn't pull the trigger on the lightning version.
I was hoping the AirPods Pro max 2 would come out and be worth it but nothing has come out and I needed good heanoise cancelling headphones.
Only issue I've had with xm6 is that they get a bit hot sometimes. They are much better at switching from device to device than my xm4s, but sometimes still mess up with Apple products.
Anyway. At this point, I would only upgrade to AirPods Pro 2 if there are must have features when they come out.
As a side note I love my AirPods Pro 2's. Only annoying thing is that they can fall out and get lost. But the quality of life upgrade from owning them are amazing.
I got the usb-c version for that price on Walmart but it's only store pick up.

Someone left a brand new pair at her job and brought them to me last night. They are amazing I deff jump on this. They still were sealed in the box
