Very tempting, but with a 7700x I feel like waiting for the Zen6 next year is the smart play. I'm hearing all kinds of crazy leaks about Zen 6, like 6-7GHz factory clocks.

It's likely that the 9800X3D will still be hella fast well into the next generation, like how the 5800 and 5700X3Ds are. This is a great price, and if you need the upgrade now you won't regret it

I got this same price during their Prime/Tech day sale a few weeks back...excellent CPU, final piece to my AM 5 build and curshes 1440p oled gaming when paired with my 5070 ti

You realize those AM6 prices are gonna be HIGH! but it will also continually push the 98/78x3d prices down...I picked up 98x3d during Tech Week sale but i can see these being 350 during cyber monday/black Friday. Regardless the AM x3d chips are really good and will last till early 2030s if youre pairing it properly with other components

Zen6 will be on AM5 still, and I doubt they'll be much higher than the current crop of 9000-series chips were on debut.

I have a 9600x. Was thinking about getting one of these but there should be a pretty substantial uplift if rumors are true with zen 6. I'll wait.
