39" widescreen at 1440 is similar to 32" 16:9 1440. The PPI isn't ideal IMO.
It's like watching a fence. Only good for gaming or movies.

Will this be equivalent to replace 2 24" monitors? Or not as good?I'll be using mostly for office work. NOT for gaming.
I have this monitor, absolutely love it, but i WOULD NOT use it for office work. Text is not very sharp. I personally wouldnt use any oled for office work, go with mini led

Love mine, use it at least 14 hrs a day for trading, work, movies, and games. I have 6-8 charts up all the time and still no sign of burn after 1 full year. My previous qd oled 34" burned in with 6-7 months. 800r takes a out 2 weeks to get used to, initially ur flat monitors will look convex after using it. 800r is awesome, it reduces neck fatigue. If u can get over the blurry text, it's fine for what it is.

A 4k WOLED won't display text as sharply as a same-size 4k LCD because of the sub-pixel layout and lack of text-optimization for WOLED in Windows.
That's not the argument now is it? Way to move the goal posts though.

Maybe, but I think you might've been who missed what the discussion was about.

See, Hat-Trick said:
"I [own an OLED] and my text is sharp as any LCD monitor" in response to someone saying text is fuzzier on an OLED compared to an LCD.

Notice how the argument is about OLED displaying text as sharp as LCD, and not what you may have thought it was about?

Then when HonestSnake7260 said he might be lying or inexperienced, you replied that they aren't lying and that only lower resolutions would show the problem being mentioned.

I then pointed out that wasn't entirely correct as the hardware and software limitations are real regardless of resolution.

Did that clear up where I was coming from?

Does anyone know if Costco's return policy includes burn-in? If this shows sign of it soon, say less than a year of use, I'd like the reassurance I can return it.

Costco's return policy is 90 days, anything after will have to be through manufacturer.

This or the 49" Samsung Odyssey G91SD for $600 from Costco for work and play?
https://slickdeals.net/click?sdtrk=frontpage&trd=Get+Deal+at+Retailer&sdtid=18472843&pno=1128121&pro...
I thought the same but opted for this one. My reasoning is this.... unless you only play flight sims, racing sims or possible MMO's, most games either will not support or look good on such a wide screen. My guess is that for most games, the 49" would have black bars on each side and in the case of web browsing, the huge width would mean my poor neck would grow tired looking left and right all day Smilie

I'm not knock the 49" but I figure that is a special monitor for special purposes but this one would be good for almost everything baring the ongoing debate about whether the curve this one has is too much.

I absolutely love sitting down in front of a 4K 240Hz OLED screen. Each time the contrast and colors blow me away. I sold a pair to a friend and he also absolutely loves them, and he doesn't game either. I had a beautiful 4K Samsung LCD screen before this that was bright (too bright) and looked beautiful, but this OLED is at another level. This is my opinion of actually using them, not parroting what someone else said or read who's never touched one. My laptop is OLED also.

I'm glad you like your OLED, and I have multiple OLED TVs and screens in my house. Just because you're unable to see it or that your friend can't, doesn't mean it's not there.
There's plenty of sources out there. Sticking your head in the sand and ignoring all the evidence might work for you, but unfortunately it doesn't work for many others of us.

My laptop is not OLED and that's intentional, but I'm glad you have OLED on yours and that you're happy. 😁

Do some research 800r is very aggressive curvature and meant for gaming, 1500-1800r is better for work.
800r matches up exactly with my flat split screens and how I have them angled. It's perfectly fine for any type of montior usage. There is no "this curve is best for X" that's just marketing mumbo jumbo.
