Normally the market price is around $100-$150 anyways. Amazon probably has a brand new one for another $20.

You can't "refurb" an SSD; there's no way to undo the limited number of writes in its lifetime.

I've purchased at least 5 different Geek Squad refurbished SSDs over the years and CrystalDiskInfo has always reported less than 10hrs of power-on time with the box, USB-C cable and packaging intact. They also register for the full warranty on Samsung's website and I've never had an issue with any of these.
Great way to save a few bucks!

I've been shopping today for external portable SSDs. This is the best value IMO:

The Samsung T9 drive is faster than the T7 supposedly, but the caveat is you need a USB 3.2 Gen2x2 port.
