BowhuntersSupplyStore via eBay [ebay.com] has Covert Optics 8x42 ED phase corrected BAK4 roof prism binoculars for $138.22. Shipping is free.

Amazon [WoodsArcheryRange] [amazon.com] has them for $149. Shipping is free with Prime or on $35+ orders.

The customer reviews at Amazon [amazon.com] and OpticsPlanet [opticsplanet.com] are good.

FeraDyne Outdoors [feradyne.com] (who makes/brands these binoculars) marked them down from $499.99 to $129.99 on their website in recent months, but they're now out of stock (so this could be a discontinued product).

Features:
  • High quality ED (Extra-Low dispersion) Glass and BAK-4 phase-corrected dielectric coated roof prisms to minimize diffraction
  • Diamond Bright multicoating for maximum light transmission, glare reduction and scratch-resistance
  • Waterproof, fog proof and shock resistant
  • Includes: Binoculars, semi-hard case with strap, neck strap, eye cups, lens cloth and instructions
  • Size 5.35"x 5"x 2.2″
  • Weight 23.5 oz. (weights listed are binocular only, no eye cups)
These have an 8x magnification and 42mm objective lenses (8x42). While the features don't mention eye relief, minimum focus, or the field of view, you can get that info from the PDF manual [feradyne.com] on the FeraDyne Outdoors website, where they show 18mm of eye relief, 2 yards (6 ft) minimum focus, and an FOV of 408 ft at 1,000 yards (which works out to 7.7 degrees, good for a 8x42 roof prism pair of binoculars).

As I noted, they are out of stock at FeraDyne Outdoors, and it was not a regular price, that was their "Outlet" price, before they went out of stock. Also worth noting is that FeraDyne charges shipping, while the eBay deal I posted has free shipping, so $138.22 is likely a comparable or better price than if you had purchased them for $129.99 from FeraDyne Outdoors. I'd stand my ground that this is a slick deal.

Fine. Fair. It's out of production. This is about the best price available. It sounds like the glass is pretty good quality. Let's not pretend it was ever worth $500.
