Maybe you're right, maybe you're not, but I like the peace of mind in my head knowing that there is something between a bare toilet seat and my bum. This alone is worth the $5 bucks.

In Singapore there was sanitizer dispenser mounted by the toilet 🚽 kinda like hand sanitizer but for the toilet. Squirt some on the tp 🧻 wipe the toilet seat. There's also a water sprayer do you can do the dishes in the toilet

Seriously this. As I said above, these only give the illusion that they are blocking germs or other waste. I mean maybe if you stack like 3-4 of them and then lay a bunch of toilet paper over them to create a nest, then yea you'd be fine.
