Got this set on a tiktok deal for $26 and some change. The hex shank is nice since I tend to use my impact driver for most things. It was nice to get a set that has all the metric and SAE sizes together. Haven't really put them through the paces to know about durability, but seems like a nice set for your everyday DIY homeowner like myself.

Excellent opportunity to own an heirloom quality set of toolants.

My grandfather's grandfather originally bought a set of toolants back in the winter of 1859 from Bezos General Mercantile in town. He got a good deal with free two year shipping since he was a Primary member. Shipping back then was a little different. It took just over two years for the order to be sent, hand forged in Shenzhen, and then sent back by boat and mule train.

It has been a time honored family tradition to pass them down to each first born son on his 18th birthday ever since. I got mine many years ago and will soon be passing them on to my son.

The case is no longer made of wood, but the tool quality is sure to be just as generational. I sometimes like to think that the great great grandsons of those who made our family set are still in that factory producing them today with the same honor and commitment to quality that was passed on to them.

I lust after tools, so these look fun, but I can't justify buying these when I can just use a 1/4" to socket adapter and I have no space for these.

Mine arrived today, looks pretty good. I don't have much for sockets under 8-10 mm so this will come in handy under dashboards, but theres definitely a nice range here. The labeling is good and someone even bothered to rotate everything up in the box, I dig it.

edit: nevermind I can't figure out how to host images sorry.

Hahahaha, yes, very powerful ants. Not the type of insect you want to meet in a dark alley after drinking heavily

lets do kid or get ahead of ourselves. This is a mass produced made in China set which should work for home diy projects. Would it last a few generations? It might if you baby them. But using in a commercial or business setting, no, i don't think it would last.

Something like Knipex or Wera would be a tools you can pass on. But something from Toolant? It was founded in 2020.

Per Google:

Toolant is an online e-distributor of tools and tool accessories, based in Shanghai, China. The company was founded in 2020 and operates as an unfunded business, according to Tracxn. They offer a wide range of products, including drills, screwdrivers, hammers, and various tool accessories. Toolant also emphasizes its strong relationships with OEM/ODM manufacturers for brands like Bosch, Milwaukee, and Dewalt, according to their website.

Key Details about Toolant:
Location: Shanghai, China
Founded: 2020
Business Model: Online e-distributor of tools and accessories
Funding Status: Unfunded
Product Range: Drills, screwdrivers, hammers, home and gardening tools, glue guns, sandpapers, machinery tool accessories, routering, hole saws, and more
