I have this model. It does a good job of ANC and the sound quality is good. Not audiophile good, but good enough for me.its a good price, but I'd recommend double checking on the gently used bit

There are so many counterfeits of this headset on the market. I don't know anything about black market, but I would say risk of counterfeit is quite high.

It's not black market, it's backmarket. As far as i know, it's legit.

Used? Disgusting! I don't care how much you clean these, they are used and I have no desire to chance getting microscopic pieces of other people's earwax in mine!

Backmarket used to be notorious for selling blocklisted cell phones as unlocked. That was a few years ago. I don't know that they've changed, but I'm not sure QA is their forte. I wouldn't purchase these for sure. "Gently used" probably really means "recovered from a wet subway cushion crack."

Speaking of crack...I think you have to be pretty deep into the "crack" hobby to even consider used earbuds.

Risk of infection from used earbuds is smaller in scope i.e. ear-specific, close contact, but preventable with proper cleaning. Public swimming pool exposure is broader - entire body, potential ingestion, and multiple pathogens from multiple people, but actively managed with chemicals. A public swimming pool can carry fecal bacteria, fungi, peudomonas, even vruses. Do you consider public swimming pool disgusting too?

Honestly you can use alcohol wipes. And brand new ear tips. I understand the initial revulsion but like what you think you're going to miss something if you use ear alcohol wipes on an earbud? You really think you can't do that exhaustively? If you trust yourself to wash your own hands I think you could trust yourself to wash an earbud
