  • From the best-selling author of The Storied Life of A. J. Fikry: On a bitter-cold day, in the December of his junior year at Harvard, Sam Masur exits a subway car and sees, amid the hordes of people waiting on the platform, Sadie Green. He calls her name. For a moment, she pretends she hasn't heard him, but then, she turns, and a game begins: a legendary collaboration that will launch them to stardom.
  • These friends, intimates since childhood, borrow money, beg favors, and, before even graduating college, they have created their first blockbuster, Ichigo. Overnight, the world is theirs. Not even twenty-five years old, Sam and Sadie are brilliant, successful, and rich, but these qualities won't protect them from their own creative ambitions or the betrayals of their hearts.
  • Spanning thirty years, from Cambridge, Massachusetts, to Venice Beach, California, and lands in between and far beyond, Gabrielle Zevin's Tomorrow, and Tomorrow, and Tomorrow examines the multifarious nature of identity, disability, failure, the redemptive possibilities in play, and above all, our need to connect: to be loved and to love.

This book is so farking weird. It claims to be about videogame development, but it's actually a dumb, cheesy soap opera with some light BDSM.

I regret reading this book. The main characters were exceptionally annoying. The plot was too simple and linear. This is probably best marketed like a junior high romance novel.

Rough book. Great promise but turned into an slugfest to finish. Main characters were insufferable

If you're thinking you might like this book because you're a big video game nerd, DON'T BUY IT. The author gets basic facts about video games wrong, like referring to Mario doing a "ground pound" in Super Mario Bros for NES. There was one chapter of the book that was spectacularly written, but for the rest of it I was largely frustrated by the author trying to write characters who were supposed to be experts on a subject that the author didn't seem to be an expert on.

Honestly one of the worst books I've read in the last 10 years. I was very surprised the book received the praise that it did. 2/5 stars.

I found game development stories were compelling and interesting.

And just when it's getting good, author goes off very weird tangents that just felt so pretentious and out of place.

I enjoyed the book for how it explored how disability can affect how we relate to the world and relate to imaginary worlds like videogames. The main characters are very frustrating, and I can see many disliking the book because of them. I enjoyed the read, but it wasn't a can't put it down exciting read. 2.5 or 3/5.

Wow - bunch of cynics out there. Both me(52MWM) and my son (20SWM) both loved it. The videogame backdrop is just that, a backdrop. Great story that explores how everyone is fighting a battle you know nothing about. Also deals realistically with how love and relationships are, in reality, just as much about timing and communication as they are about feelings and emotions.
