The M2 Max might be faster for GPU-heavy workloads, and it has 32GB RAM instead of 24GB. But I don't think either is decisive: if 24GB is not enough, 32GB probably wouldn't be much of an improvement.
This Mac Studio is also cheaper. But then it is used, and it will have shorter software support. Overall I would say that the $999 Mac Mini at Microcenter is better, unless you have specific needs.

The Mac Studio has some more ports that are useful, and Im currently editing on this exact same system and loving it. And truthfully, before this I was on a Hackintosh that was 3-4 OS behind and still doing all of my video work with ease, so Im not worried about it not supporting OS in 3-4 years. But, if you dont need the extra ports or extra RAM, hard not to go with the Mac Mini
