Took me awhile to figure out how to submit for the rebate card.
After you activate, you go to

https://promotions.t-mobile.com/, click start a new submission. Select your phone number for the T-Mobile Gateway and hit the optional Promo Code option, it is 250395. Fill out the information and then after ~10 weeks you get the gift card via text/email.

Affirmative. Hopefully they'll make the same mistake with a primary conductor soon and the problem will work itself out naturally.

I got this exact promotion for the rely plan and modem starting June 16. Works well except for having to reconnect my fire stick to the Wi-Fi literally every single time I turn my TV on. I've tried everything and it will not stay connected. Still have not received my $200 gift card however it has only been 6 weeks. The speed is good for my area. If you don't set up auto pay right when you order service they will not give you the auto-pay discount on your first bill, even if you sign up for it before the bill hits. Not especially crazy about their customer service but for $40 a month it's decent. Update: got my $200 rebate card for the rely plan after 8 weeks.

Yes, you can use your own mesh system. But you may not need to. I had a Google Nest Mesh with four points. Got hte Tmo home 5G and the network gateway was good enough to replace the mesh completly.

Got this deal a few months ago, speed is decent but for some strange reason the connection to some devices drops on regular basis and it's super frustrating to constantly have to reset the modem.

I got this when it was pretty new. TMO made some great promises, and it was three days of HE%$ and many hours wasted with support, and a return process (IN-STORE only) that involved four salespeople- er, "experts"- (I was the only customer in there) trying to upsell me- one insisted that a Chromebook would solve it). Every time I rebooted the AP, it would start out pretty good (about 150Mbps) then drop to 2Mbps or less over the course of a couple of hours. They promised they were having issues with a nearby tower. Our 5G smatphones had blazing fast 180-200Mbps speeds with TMO in the same location. But after I returned the AP and finally got a refund, seeing that they didn't offer the HSI at 5G- they promised I would be at the very top of the list for 5G if I stayed (at those 2001-era DSL speeds).

I just checked (for fun). They still don't offer 5G speeds in our area. We moved here and tried this over two years ago. I will never subject myself to TMOs abuse again. I record all of my business calls and log them. They pulled other stuff with our wireless (also recorded and logged). I would love TMO to try to sue me for slander. Discovery can be delicious.

Signed up back in February never got my free 4k Amazon TV that we requested when we signed up. Talked to customer service several times. Got nothing not even a prepaid MasterCard when requested since they weren't going to honor what we agreed to in the beginning. Service is good where I'm located, but don't expect to get your MasterCard promotion.

Am I reading this right? Plans start at only 100GB of data for 60 a month? That seems like a crappy deal.

I never got my Mastercard either. I didn't bother trying to fight for it though. but i'm very happy with the home internet. went from 25mbps speeds on old service to 500mbps for a little less money.

Just FYI I've tried this service in two different cities and for me it was a 50-50 good/bad situation. Fort Worth TX works great with speeds upwards of 200M (black router). Tallahassee FL just north of downtown was absolutely terrible with speeds never exceeding 20M (white router). The former location is on the lifetime $25/month plan while the latter was going to take advantage of this deal with the $300 rebate. What I don't understand is why T-Mobile would waste so much time and effort by showing the service being available for addresses with crappy service. They have to be capturing telemetry data to know where they have issues and could avoid a lot of $$$ spent on useless troubleshooting and returns not to mention customer frustration. I literally was able to pickup 1G Xfinity modem from the store same day and activate it in mere minutes as soon as I figured out how crappy the 5G Internet service was. As a reminder you have 30 day no $$$ cancelation with T-Mobile Home 5G Internet. I was on hold for maybe 5 minutes and got a rep that immediately canceled and sent me a prepaid return label within a few minutes.

Signed up for a similar promotion in May. The Rely plan was only a $100 gift card at the time, Amplified was $300. It took the full 10 weeks to get the gift card. On the email with the gift card, had issues validating the phone number associated to the account—tried both the phone number associated to the home internet line, and the phone number associated to my $10 hotspot line, neither number worked. Chatted with T-Force, they had me try the phone number associated to the hotspot again, and it then validated.Service wise, I've been happy. Location 1 I was paying $70/month for 200 Mbps down, this was $60/month for 400-500 Mbps down. Recently moved to a location that says the address is not eligible. Changed the usage addrees online, got a prompt to call to verify the equipment would work at the new address (never called), plugged the modem in, and am pulling 200-350 Mbps down, and about 10 Mbps up. Other options in the area are either a 25/10 microwave connection for $80, or the base Starlink plan. Will be keeping T-Mobile as long as I can!

That's probably for the Lite plan, where the full Home Internet offering is not available. I'm paying $60/month for unlimited data.

Yes, the gateway I received has two Ethernet ports on it that you can connect the mesh system to. As another poster mentioned, you may not need the mesh system, I was very surprised at how good the coverage from the provided gateway was.If you do connect your mesh system, you'll most likely have two wireless networks being broadcast. I haven't found a way to turn off the wireless network from the gateway—read some comments that a third party app on iOS can connect to the gateway and turn the wireless network off, but have not tried that. The gateway also handles network address translation, so you may want to turn that off on your mesh network, and run the mesh system in access point only mode, if it supports it.

If I have a mesh already (eero) can I hook it up to the main router T Mobile provides for better in home coverage? I also have a Synology NAS connected via a switch from my eero, will all this work together? I'm novice with tech.
Yes, see my prior comment. You can use your mesh system, but you may not need to. The coverage from their gateway is much better than I expected.

Can confirm deal works. Just got my $300 on day 57, which then allowed me to downgrade to Rely. Speed was decent for my parents' house. I wouldn't use it for myself since I WFH and rather have reliable internet.
How did you downgrade to Rely? Did you have to call them, or is there a place in the website or app? I signed up for Amplified in May to get the higher gift card, with intention to downgrade to Rely long term. Not seeing any downgrade options in the app or website.Edit: found where to downgrade in the app under the my plans section. Successfully downgraded from Amplified to Rely after receiving the gift card.

If I didn't need to upload big files, I'd be all over this. My Tmobile phones have 1.3 gigabit download in my house. Faster than my fiber internet.
Wow. That's awesome. I lived in an area where I get 2.8Mbps smh

No joy here. Even though I am a cellular customer they don't provide 5g internet to my address. It's been 5 years and they are still dragging their feet.

I have the basic and next tier up plan in two locations. Both work pretty well. Latency can be an issue at both spots depending on how busy the network is. The white modem (mid tier plan) gets up to 400 mbps up and about 10 down. My black modem with basic tier gets around 250/7. I hear the upload is highly dependent on signal strength. I am within a mile of the nearest tower with both modems.
