Took me awhile to figure out how to submit for the rebate card.
After you activate, you go to

https://promotions.t-mobile.com/, click start a new submission. Select your phone number for the T-Mobile Gateway and hit the optional Promo Code option, it is 250395. Fill out the information and then after ~10 weeks you get the gift card via text/email.

Affirmative. Hopefully they'll make the same mistake with a primary conductor soon and the problem will work itself out naturally.

I got this exact promotion for the rely plan and modem starting June 16. Works well except for having to reconnect my fire stick to the Wi-Fi literally every single time I turn my TV on. I've tried everything and it will not stay connected. Still have not received my $200 gift card however it has only been 6 weeks. The speed is good for my area. If you don't set up auto pay right when you order service they will not give you the auto-pay discount on your first bill, even if you sign up for it before the bill hits. Not especially crazy about their customer service but for $40 a month it's decent. Update: got my $200 rebate card for the rely plan after 8 weeks.

No thanks since you must also have an overpriced TMo phone plan.
Don't believe you need TMobile phone to get their Internet, but having phones with them gets you a bigger discount.

fwiw, the "average" user does not need more than 500Mb Internet so all these 1G offers from others are just marketing gimmicks.

I've had this since June and it has been rock solid. Never had to reset anything. Devices stay connected and speeds are good with multiple Alexa and smart devices. I am on the middle tier plan.

Could my two grandkids play Roblox at the same time with this? Also, I have a lot of smart devices. Does it cover well? TIA

That's a hard question to answer since it's completely based upon location. If you currently have T-Mobile and the speeds are great inside your house, then yes. If you don't have T-Mobile then you really won't know until you sign up.

Can I move the TM receiver/modem from my house (Chicago area) to my lake cottage (Wisconsin) to use while I'm up there, or is it geo-locked?

I tried T-Mobile 5g modem last year and ended up going back with spectrum. It seemed great out of the box but I had to constantly reset it as the longer it stayed on the worse the performance seemed to be. Sometimes I'd get upwards of 600 mbps then I'd get 12. Latency was terrible for gaming. Maybe the network has gotten better since.

$250 cb from somewhere
I didn't see anyone with a $250 offer but another is offering $150 cashback, but I already ordered last night and even though I have the extension, I forgot to activate the offer. I contacted the R with the missing cashback option saying I activated it but it did not work and provided the order number. Not sure if they will still honor the cashback or not. T-Mobile is also still letting me place orders for my address. Not sure what the best course of action is as the R has not responded yet. My order hasn't shipped, should I reorder and cancel my original order?.

they are supposed to be geolocked to the address you apply with . but some people report that you can move them around but I have a feeling TMobile is going to crack down on that

I use my own wifi router....turn off the SSID broadcast on the TMo modem...set the MTU to 1420 bytes. If you are using your personal VPN, then set the MTU to 1350 bytes.

Where are you adjusting the mtu at

I signed up with my then home address, used the service there for a month and a half. Then moved 500 miles, changed the usage address in my T-Mobile account to the new address (which says it is not available as a new sign up address), and it's been working fine so far. I've only been using it at the new address for about a week. My T-Mobile account does show I should call to verify service at the new address, but I'm just going to ride it out without calling.I'd read T-Mobile is cracking down on the roaming users and forcing them to a different (more expensive) roaming plan.

Getting the rebate card is a joke and will never happen; obviously YMMV, but Goodluck!
