Took me awhile to figure out how to submit for the rebate card.
After you activate, you go to

https://promotions.t-mobile.com/, click start a new submission. Select your phone number for the T-Mobile Gateway and hit the optional Promo Code option, it is 250395. Fill out the information and then after ~10 weeks you get the gift card via text/email.

Affirmative. Hopefully they'll make the same mistake with a primary conductor soon and the problem will work itself out naturally.

I got this exact promotion for the rely plan and modem starting June 16. Works well except for having to reconnect my fire stick to the Wi-Fi literally every single time I turn my TV on. I've tried everything and it will not stay connected. Still have not received my $200 gift card however it has only been 6 weeks. The speed is good for my area. If you don't set up auto pay right when you order service they will not give you the auto-pay discount on your first bill, even if you sign up for it before the bill hits. Not especially crazy about their customer service but for $40 a month it's decent. Update: got my $200 rebate card for the rely plan after 8 weeks.

ive been on tmobile home internet for multiple years now, and my advise is that if you can have any wired internet service DO NOT GET tmobile home internet (or similar verizon home internet, att home internet, etc)...
wire is just so far superior. but for people like me, this is the only option aside from starlink which is twice the price and not really "better". but every few days ill have bad internet days, or no internet days, and then ill have bad latency in games. i used to game a lot, but since moving away from wired connection (in rural arean now) ive fully given up on multiplayer games since the latency is just too bad and i constantly get red connection so im teleporting all over the place.

Just remember that T-Mobile now includes taxes and fees on top of final price. It's another price increase. Current users are grandfathered in.

We have the option of T-Mo, Fios or Spectrum and our T-Mo has been the most dependable with average speeds around 800mbps, not bad for $20 a month.

I noticed that in the ad disclaimers if I listen too long before muting.

As I understand it, when one signs up, they get a dedicated "slot" (for lack of a better term) on a tower. So is not subject to cell tower switching or similar. That is why it is not always available when one plugs in an address to check (no available "slots").

But my biggest issue is they won't tell you what tower it is!!!

That is a biggie! I have a medical device that sends in data over a cell connection:

Provider: T-Mobile DATA O
Type: 4G
Service: -10.4
Signal: -116dBm

Plus the signal strength display on my device is 1 bar. Doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. But the data is somehow getting through.

There is a cell tower less than three miles to the west of me. If I had an external antenna mounted high enough on my TV antenna tower, I would have an unobstructed line of sight above the trees to the tower. But no way to know if that would be the tower.

There is also a former TV tower I can see from my kitchen window, a mile or two away, if that. Now used by an FM station, plus possibly for a low power digital TV transmitter in the future. I don't see anything that might be cell stuff on it.

The last thing I want is "can you hear me now?" with my internet data. So I am stuck with Spectrum who raises their prices then later raises the speed: We raised your speed at no additional cost! vomit

(I wonder, how successful would I be in haggling Spectrum to get my price down, threatening to leave for T-Mobile?)

(Metronet is also in town, but they aren't available in the township. They terminate very close to the aforementioned former TV tower. Now that T-Mobile is buying Metronet, I wonder what changes that will bring.)

(I apologize for rambling a tad...)

After using T-Mobile Home Internet for approximately 18 months, I found the speeds generally adequate, though they noticeably slowed during peak hours—particularly on Saturdays, when performance would plummet. However, the real frustration came when attempting to cancel the service. I visited a local T-Mobile store to return the router, only to be turned away and directed to another location. There, they accepted the device but were unable to process the cancellation, forcing me to call customer support. I spent over 30 minutes on the line, transferred between multiple representatives, before the service was finally terminated. To add insult to injury, I was then billed for an additional full month. Spare yourself the unnecessary hassle and steer clear of T-Mobile Home Internet.

I got received the $300 gift card as promised. It was a pain in the ass to get. When I called for help, none of the reps could give me the promo code required for the rebate submission. I was later transferred to an overseas rebate rep who took 15-20 minutes to manually submit it on my behalf.

The actual service itself has been pretty good. I was having problems with Charter Spectrum going down 2-5 times a day even after switching modems and having a technician come out and look at everything. With T-Mobile, my cell service has been very consistent I suppose due to my house's location. I've never had to reset the modem. Just looking for consistency.

Getting the $300 gift card was a huge bonus to having stable internet again.

So if I am not a t-mobile cell customer and only home internet customer, how do I sign into my account? It says it is the number on the account statement/bill but is it not the same (non-tmobile) phone number used when signing up?

Virtual cash back from T-Mobile is now only $100 for the Rely plan, down from the $200 in the original post.
Capital One shopping with use of Capital One credit card has $75 or $150 back, in addition to T-Mobile cash back.

Would have kept this but xfinity locked me in for 5 years at 65/month (no contract just a price guarantee for 5 years. It was for the 1000mhps speed. Tmo was getting me 250-400mbps.

Keep in mind that it requires a phone call to cancel service. They didn't push back too hard, but it took about 20mins of them checking things and making slight discounts before they finished the cancellation process. This was around 2yrs ago, so it may have changed since then.

Also, when I signed up, I had the option of 2 different rebates. I submitted both and they honored the cheaper of the 2, so keep that in mind if you're looking to stack

Mostly good advice, but wired DSL is not better than this. I have fiber as my main but use T-Mobile backup. On the T-Mobile I get 470-500Mbps download and 20-40Mpbs upload depending on time of day.

Of course, YMMV based on conditions. In just the past couple of years I went from having to get two DSL line bonded together to struggle in getting 15/2Mbps speeds to now having the choice of 1Gbps Fiber, fast 5G, (for the price of DSL) and Starlink --if I wanted it--. Color me shocked.

Can confirm. Fairly recently. They offered me $10 off for a couple of months to continue to try it to see if I really wanted to cancel, but they did not drag it out. Were polite and not pushy.

Well I signed up for this and accidentally chose the $300 promotion despite having signed up for their 'rely' internet plan. Turns out I was only eligible for the $200 gift card. After waiting 8 weeks, I got a notice that I was denied due to an ineligible plan. I was told to call their promotions department and their promotions department said they switched it to the correct one for me, and I would receive the $200 virtual gift card email within one week. Wish they made it a little easier but at least they are still honoring it after the 60-day activation limit.
