I use these all the time. They work great, but I'd like to share a tip with everyone. Use a heat deflector (wrap-around) tip if you got one. Many heat guns come with one, but some don't. It really helps with heating these up evenly all around at once, and thats very important. If you dont use one and you start spinning the wires too much between your fingers to heat up all around it before its fully sealed, a lot of times you'll end up pulling out the wire or screwing up the shrink material before its done doing its thing. It does take a bit of patience to get the technique perfected, but once you do, you'll never go back to connecting wires any other way.

I use this one. Its more than enough heat, small and comes with the right tip. Plus its inexpensive.(about 17 bucks after the on page coupon) It's nice that its only 350 watts so its compatible with even many of these smaller power stations. Comes in handy if like you want to work in the car or boat, or anywhere, without having to drag out an extension cord.https://www.amazon.com/SEEKONE-Ha...37&sr=8-10

I've bought a couple of these and ended up with some rather low quality ones; one side's ID was smaller than the other for some strange reason. You can still use them, but it's very difficult to get the other wire in.

Are these quality? Reviews seem pretty positive, but wanted to check with the buyers here.

I've had that happen to me with these but only on the red ones. And not that many either.

I have this exact product, bought on 9/25/23 for $8.44 after coupon. They're OK. Not a lot of solder in there, and it seems as if in some cases the heat shrink jacket gets a bit jacked up. I've done quite a bit of marine work and I've used higher quality components, these aren't to be confused with them. Good to have in a pinch though.

Same here. Damnit SD. I'm constantly buying stuff I really don't need.
