PC Richard and Son is legit, they are an electronics/appliance chain based out of Long Island NY. I ordered a video game from them in 2020 it was all good, and further back I bought a fridge from them (also good). I can't say what their future holds because chain stores in general haven't done well, but I'd trust buying from them right now.

Not a deal at all for the 15" M4 base Air.

As for the retailer, they had quite a few stores in the east coast and I'd purchased a Sony video camera about 20 years ago and also opened up a store card for no interest 12 month payment. Like other retailers, they succumbed to the Amazon-effect and now it's a forgotten name !

Hope you folks still remember Fry's !!

Mac runs fine on 16GB RAM. This is a 2025 model and comes with m4. It is an excellent processor. Horses vs donkeys.

I have a MacBook; stop assuming people never use computers or laptops. 16GB would be enough for maybe housewives and school kids, not in 2025 when we are running AI processes, such as ChatGPT, or any work involving RAG or GenAI. Secondly, 256GB, oh well, what's the cost of SSD these days?
As long as one sucker is born and buys an Apple product every minute, they will continue to sell mediocre specs at a premium rate.
