It's not for torquing things down or breaking bolts, but it really shines when you're working on your car. Having the ratchet dramatically decreases the amount of time it takes to remove a car stereo or skid plate on my truck.

The other two tools are awesome. I gave the ratchet a chance but it is a bit underpowered. Couldn't take on/off a lock nut (the kind with a nylon ring to hold it in place) when was assembling some flat pack furniture and now I can't look it in the eyes anymore. Better to do the hack version of this deal and pay up for the fuel ratchet if you need one.

Is the hack to return this ratchet? How much do they normally give for returning it?
Also I'm bored of this deal, give me new Milwaukee deals!
Give me an m12 combo with a surge impact and a small drill (doesn't need to have hammer, doesn't need to be the tiny subcompact…could even be the installation driver) and I'll ready to jump in to the system!
To me that seems like the perfect home setup for someone who also has m18 versions. Give me the quiet impact and a lightweight drill that can work in small places. I can get the big tools if I need tons of power or a hammer function.
Once you give me that and I have some batteries I will almost certainly end up buying a bunch of other random M12 tools.

I have set of m12 Fuel tools but they are like toys; very under powered. I really wish they are significantly smaller at least but they are almost the same size and weight as a 20v/60v Dewalt tools.
However, I still do use them sometimes, example to screw or unscrew delicate and sensitive materials because the Dewalt is sometimes is too strong and unforgiving.
BTW, they are not ergonomics at all. Their grip contains the battery and they make the grip bigger and so unnatural than regular tools. So they actually feel bigger and bulky.... but weak.

not sure what fuel toys you have, but yeah, bosch has better ergonomics with same style battery. maybe you should get the new m12 stubby wrench as your new toy

they do bundle surge kit with free ratchet @ $180 often where you can hack surge kit to $100.
There were numerous complaints from the auto community on YouTube about the Fuel version when it first came out so I bought the rock solid non-Fuel a year ago and it's given me no reason no to love it. Not sure if those Fuel issues ever got worked out, and don't care. If I need anything more than 35ft/lbs an IW is getting invited to the party.
