Great monitor, but also laced with Samsung's quality control. Rumor has it, they swapped 3 years warranty to 1 year, when too many panels started failing. You could instead buy it at bestbuy with their coverage for peace of mind .

Warranty details on Samsung say 36-months.
https://www.samsung.com/us/suppor...d-warranty

Well, my information could be outdated. But I found the reddit thread I was referring to:https://www.reddit.com/r/ultrawid...years_but/

FYI the smart hub OS is hella annoying.

I'd avoid this one unless you really love smart apps. Pops up constantly and consistently.

It's not true. I had the first monitor of this kind. I got a green line on the right side of panel a little after the 1 year mark. They would not cover it. I'm still using it, because I spent too much to replace so soon.

Then you didn't have a 3 year warranty on that model or didn't push hard enough.

Under warranty, a green line is definitely something they have to replace.

Been on here for a long time. I am inclined to believe most folks are sharing real experiences.

Leverage being what it is, I'm not surprised if issues are common. I think it was Archimedes that said "give me a wide enough 1440p screen and I will break it almost immediately"
