It's been about a year and we're very happy so far. My sister has the GE counterdepth version but without the back lighting or full size door bin (just a spot for water on the inside, which I assume sits below this in the GE range). I would say that this profile line with the backlighting and water pitcher features and large bins is door is well worth the bit of extra money. Our Cafe seems nearly as high end as subzero refrigerators that cost 5x as much, and this seems to be nearly identify if not for different exterior handles and regular stainless or white trim instead of bronze.
Refrigerator doesn't have any super fancy features like craft ice or fully convertible drawers to freeze (though it could "soft freeze" to around 29F and get very cold) but has one of the better designs (we hope) with ice in the freezer and no exterior water / ice dispenser for longevity. One cool part trick (but not sure if this one has it or just our cafe line) is that one of the middle shelves has 2 sections where the front part can slide under the back to accommodate taller items when needed. Perfect for when we have wine or tall soda bottles when entertaining (since we don't normally drink that) but can leave the shelf at a lower height normally to just accommodate gallon milk containers and leave the shelf above more usable space otherwise.
The counter depth model is a little light on freezer space, as the bottom bins are slanted to make room for the larger cooking setup (which should hopefully make it perform better overtime). This isn't an issue at all with the full size refrigerator as they are insanely deep. Our freezer also has a thin profile middle pull out drawer (which this one doesn't seem to have) which has been fantastic for fitting bags of frozen veggies or fruit for smoothies. It also perfectly fits our 4 freeze dryer draws to help pre-freeze.
Overall, if you can fit it, get full size. It's a game changer for how much you can fit (and full size pizza boxes)! We're very happy with our purchase, time will tell in longevity but buying from Costco gives us 5 years of warranty coverage.
Time will tell I suppose, but it has been excellent so far. Love having the drawer for beverages and used it as extra freezer space briefly once. In any case, buying from Costco seems like a good idea - free delivery and installation, and of course good backup in case anything goes wrong. At this point, it might be wise to wait a few weeks because their Labor Day is often really good for appliances, although it looks like they have some deals right now, too.
What's the story with this fridge and ice? Also, what is the typical price of a water filter for it? Asking for an idiot customer who doesn't consider these things.
Like others have said, the externally accessed drawer is wonderful. We keep fruit, cheese, yogurt and other snacks in the drawer and kids 4+ can help themselves easily.

That said mine is only ~6 months old so time will tell if it's reliable. My guess is probably no because these things are so complicated now that any short in a circuit board causes issues. No way to escape that except to buy the most bottom of the barrel fridge with no features. We didn't want that so we'll see I guess.
Of note: We were initially looking at a GE Cafe for like $1k+ more and then discovered this one. The only difference is the finishes which we actually liked better on the profile. The two fridges were identical in every other way. Something to keep in mind if someone finds a Cafe they like. It's just a Profile with a glow up.
LG and Samsung have had several issues, especially their compressors.
