I bought a Beelink that kept randomly rebooting, and they handled it without issues. The SER 7. They had someone here to deliver it to and once they received it they refunded me. I'd rather have dealt with Amazon, but it was as hassle free as it could get. They got back to me within the day with responses as well.

While it's a okay deal, I refuse to buy Chinese mini pc's direct from the manufacturers anymore. Dealing with returns and repairs is such a hassle and time sink. It's worth it to pay a little extra for the option to just return it to Amazon when you get a dud.

not directly, but I bought from GMKtec direct on Amazon, which I believe is them. My M5 has been running proxmox 24/7 for the last several months and has been solid for me since I got it last August (edit: said April originally for some reason). And it looks like they finally actually dropped the price because they've been selling the barebones for 230 pretty much constantly since before I bought mine, but of course calling it a sale because that's sort of scumbaggery is just what everybody does now

I've picked up two AO Star WTR pro mini servers on AliExpress for 290 apiece. They have the same chips at same Bord the only thing is the SST support GEN four and they hold 4x 3.5. The chart drives if you're looking for a server That's the way to go for just a little bit more money.

Beelink is probably one of the best brands among all the little Chinese manufacturers that make these PC's; they have a pretty good reputation. For the record, GMKTec is also decent, but I wouldn't assume they're as good as Beelink.

I think people are right to be wary of buying direct from them, though at this price I might gamble on it....just make sure you put the charge on a credit card so it's easy to dispute if you get a lemon and they make returns difficult.

I think the Bosgame P3 Lite is a better deal. Though they say 24GB, they arrive with 32GB and 1TB Kingston for $309 and they have the better 6800H Ryzen. I have three, wiped the Windows and installed Linux Mint and Proxmox just fine. They also have better specs on some of the ports and better 680M Graphics. FWIW Amazon: B0CJ99ZBSN

Exactly. I bought an Minisforum mini in April and got a refund last week after many contacts via Paypal.

I have one it's running fine. I got an intel n150.
This one is 3 times faster, and uses almost 3 times as much power to run it.

a fanless minipc makes the most sense if you just plan to run a basic nas because the power will be the most expensive part of running a nas (especially during summer rates) unless you need to do transcoding or something. example is a pi3 or higher but this minipc is much more versatile.

Yes, you're missing a lot of things:
Firstly, this deal was posted before the Beelink one. Secondly, the latter comes with soldered 24GB LPDDR5 RAM, while this comes with the option to upgrade the RAM to 32GB or more. Thirdly, a $100 might be a big difference to some. Not everyone has that kind of money to spare.
