Thats crazy! But goes to show you a good air cooler can hang with AIOs on some challenging cooling scenarios! Impressed and I build PCs for a living lol 😆

this $10 air cooler is rated for 200 watts TDP. A 7800x3d and 9800x3d only have a 120w TDP rating.

I just purchased for like $2 more a couple weeks ago on Amazon and installed on 7700X. Easy install, quiet fan.

I have the same CPU and have been using this cooler for 10 months. It performs solidly.

Feels like a steal. It worked well on my 2500k oced @ 4.5ghz for years before retiring.

Not sure how it does on current gen gpus though, I have moved to a duo34.

I replaced a $50 Thermalright Peerless Assassin 120 Dual for this one and it beats the Thermalright in temps and noise levels.

Worth it just for the thermal paste. Waiting for my free upgrade kit from Noctua. Beats paying $15 for priority shipping on the upgrade kit.

If it really did, you may have had the PA120 installed wrong or a bad thermal paste application. This is a good deal for the Hyper 212, a cooler that's been around forever and known to work, but Thermalright is the reason this is now only $10. Their coolers are among the best performing and among the cheapest in reviews. That's also been my experience, but, to be fair, I have an old original Hyper 212 as my experience. In any case, glad it's working for you.

I installed and re-installed the PA120 with MX4 several times with same results, I believed that the paint used in these heatsinks may damper their cooling properties. Also own 3 old Hyper 212 and they still work flawlessly with old Intel CPUs sockets and some AMDs.
