Agreed. For an average home owner unfamiliar with electricity, there is too much risk for false negatives using non-contact indicators. Fluke T+PRO user chiming in.

The mon contact ones also give you a lot of false positives. Rendering them useless

These are wayyyy more practical for checking switches or outlets than a multimeter. Unless you have a third hand to hold the meter.
