CFM says 185 ? while other vorando profile , vornado portal CFM is 1000 or above.

Wirecutter's reviews should be taken with a grain of salt.
I have purchased a few items based on their recommendations, and they have all been disappointments. Judging by the comments on their various articles, I am not alone.
I would not say that the site is useless, but it is certainly not the ultimate reviews site.

I guess not everyone lives in humid environments, and then on top of it - some houses are so hot during the day and cool at night — you can blow cooler air in at night and blow warm air out during the day..

I have 2 of these in my attic in a push/pull config. And they work great in the spring and fall. They don't work very well in a closed room. You need a source for the air to come from or go. Just like any other window fan. When it rains i have them blow out. So i don't have to remove them from the window. It's powerful enough to push the rain away most of the time.

Better to get a regular fan and place it a few feet inside the room from the window. Blow the house air out and let the Venturi effect magnify the volume of air exchanged. Make sure to keep a window open across the house to allow for make up air.

There is a brand called shinic on amazon. That makes window fans that work vertically. However they aren't the blower style.
