I'd pay the $309 price for the Bosgame P3 Lite. Better specs all around.

Yea everyone's favorite Acemagic mini-pcs. Come preloaded with unremoveable malware even after reformatting and BIOS flash according to various tech sites. Avoid.

sigh give it a rest. It happened one time and Acemagic admitted the error and fixed it.

No. It was boring old malware that was easily removed. Love to see these "various tech sites" that claim it was unremoveable malware.

Not in bios, But it was in the recovery partition, so if you used that to recover, It came back.

This is just a windows PC, can't we just reinstall a clean Windows11 on day1?

It was only a handful of models, and it wasn't malicious.

They simply used a corrupted Windows installation ISO from a supplier that had been infected (probably downloaded from a sketchy torrent).

You people blow it out of proportion because talking down Chinese companies is low-hanging fruit.

Had one of their other PCs that was known to crap out within 2 years. Mine crapped out the other week just outside of warranty, so it's basically a brick now. Be wary of power issues on their mobos.

As long as it's not a bios issue, there isn't any reason why you can't just install your own copy of Windows 11 or Linux. It's a good practice to not trust anyone with a pre installed OS. Even from major companies like HP, Lenovo, or Dell.

These Chinese companies make so many models and share software with other companies. It's all designed to save money where they can.

If you are worried about bios level issues, it's best to stay away from most mini PCs. They rarely get bios updates to fix them.

But, when you install the os, try to get all your drivers from the original source rather than the Chinese manufacturer.

I did that with a bosgame mini PC recently. All the drivers I used came from Microsoft or AMD. Still haven't checked to see if sound works though (not that I really care for my purpose)

If you bought it with a credit card, any decent credit card with double a products warranty up to an additional year. They are usually VERY easy to get resolved and paid as well.
