While this seems like a good price (it's 799 on Amazon) ASUS has been notoriously bad with RMAs the past few years and that's assuming woot is considered an authorized reseller for warranty purposes.

Great board but not worth the risk at this price. At $200 you'd see them clear out.

It's been bad with RMAs for a lot longer than that. People have been talking about it for years prior. It's only received open exposure with the last few years thanks to GN. Around 2007-2008 timeframe, when my P5W DH crapped out after a couple of years, I sent it in for a repair and got it back unrepaired. Some Asus mobos are legendary and when they work- they work for years. My first Asus mobo a7v266-e was such a board, as well as the subsequent p6x58d. But you better not count on Asus to have your back if anything goes wrong. That's why I went with a different brand this time when getting back into pc building.

$400 mobo from Woot? Uh, no. And an intel at that. This is AMD's time, at least on the cpu side.

For some reason the flagship boards have the most problems. Maybe they cram too much in them. Even cheapo boards are usually ok unless you are heavy overclocking. Most of the crap pebuilts from cyberbuypower use the cheapest boards and they are fine as the power supply will always go first.

Be smart and don't spend $400 on a dead socket. Especially not on 13/14 Gen Intels. Do some research.
