It's a really fun game. It takes a bit to learn the rules though and it's not the kind of game you can play with young kids because of the rules. There are quite a bit of things to keep in mind like* card conditions and how they work with each other.

But the characters are so unique and you can tell they put a lot of thought into incorporating the movies into characters abilities and cards. You don't directly counter opponents, you force them to draw cards that hurt their progress. For example, hero cards like Ariel and King Trident will slow down Ursula and thwart progress but you're not actively controlling the cards you're sowing chaos in their "realm" by introducing good guys on their board.

Even how you win depends on the characters since it's themed off the movies. So no two villains are alike.

With a group of 4 I'd say typical game sessions take about an 45-60 min. Longer than that if it's your first time though. Of course, the bigger the fan you are of the movies the more you'll get out of playing each character since their deck is full of references.
