I use an online service called simplisoda and they only charge about $28 for two cans of CO2 when you swap your empty containers in to them. Shipping included. $14/can so much cheaper than this

I finally broke down and bought a full CO2 tank and adapter to connect up to it to my SodaStream and I'm so glad I did!

No clue whether this price drop will affect how much exchange credit you'd get for bringing in a tapped-out CO2 cylinder to any of those merchants, but this seems to be a pretty rare sale on the CO2 cylinders themselves.
UPDATE: At least at Target, the price of a cylinder exchange remains the same $16.50 because Target processes exchanges as a single, special "exchange" purchase instead of a combination of a store credit and purchasing a new cylinder. If Walmart, Best Buy, and/or Ace Hardware process Sodastream exchanges as a two-line combination of a store credit and the purchase of a new cylinder, you'll get a better price there.

No clue whether this price drop will affect how much exchange credit you'd get for bringing in a tapped-out CO2 cylinder to any of those merchants, but this seems to be a pretty rare sale on the CO2 cylinders themselves.

It's actually cheaper to set up auto delivery with Sodastream, charge is @ $37 total (for 2) with included UPS shipping and there's even free returns, USPS picks up at your door.

I bought a 20lbs tank and it lasts me about 6 months. $45 US to fill. I use it to fill the 60l tanks. So easy and cheaper

They are great. I had an issue that was my fault and they fixed it for free. When I called some nice lady answered and took care of my problem. It's rare in a world where most customer service places are hard to reach or can't speak English well

I always just exchange cylinders for $16.50 at the target guest services area. This deal is okay but I already got two spare ones during target week. They came with the $54 terra bundle, with a bottle also. The cylinders might not go on sale frequently, but the bundles certainly do. You can just use those to collect spares, then exchange at target counter when empty. For those without the means to get a full on tank of course.

Be aware - SimplySoda only has the OLD style (screw in) bottles available.
