We would use this more than once daily, and a dust cover is unwanted.
I also don't like buying Amazon branded products. All they do is ripoff existing designs and put other sellers out of business. It's like buying from an American corporate version of alixpress. Every alibaba post on here has detractors in the comments but when someone suggests to buy the Bezos branded schlock it's apparently all thumbs up.

Just got this from another deal to replace our really old, larger one. Some said it would be too small, but it works just fine for us. Some also said it wasn't THAT much smaller, but it obviously is and is much lighter, as you'd expect.

There is no dust cover on the pouring spot on this pitcher. I would spend some extra and get an Amazon pitcher instead, which is a much better design with 10-cup capacity.

I've found the cover on the spout gets stuck and causes the water to spill when pouring. I know to be careful and do a deep clean on the spout cover, but others in the household who will remain nameless just get pissed off. So, when the hinge on the lid also broke, we went with one that doesn't have the spout cover.

Luckily our place isn't very dusty and we also don't use sippy cups or other closed containers so I'm not too worried about it.

Saw a 20% off QR code at my Target for verified students when I went to pick up the pitcher at the entrance. Not sure if it would have worked on this or not. Another person picking up a mobil order asked the cashier to refund the 20% on something else.

Many people keep these on their counter, but I do wonder how so many people have that much dust in their homes. And if they use sippy cups so it doesn't get into their drinks.

If not having a cover over the spout is the only problem, that's easily fixed with a small piece of plastic wrap or foil - both reusable, especially the foil. Just mold it around the spout and you have a long-lasting, removable cover.

The electric tea kettle bought from Costco also doesn't have a spout cover. I just hang a small cup I get from Panera's SIP club over it. Have unlimited quantities of those lol. Will do the same for this one if I leave it outside on the counter.

My son is in high school. Is it easy to get him a verified student account?

I didn't try but the college girl behind me all she had to do was to show her student ID and the cashier at the customer service counter took 20% off.

I bought this but really debating opening it. 6 cups is 48 ounces. About 3 half liter bottles of water. Good if limited in space and want it in the refrigerator. More than one person it would be constantly empty. Still deciding to keep it or not
