I have this - it works well but the minimum time to start is roughly 4-5 minutes. If your food is done in 10 minutes but you set the timer for 15 - u have to let the basket sit ajar to run the timer out.

Works great for me, chicken nuggets, fishsticks, fries. Plenty for 1 person. I did not notice this one has a temperature knob. Mine works ok without that,
so you just have to learn how long to set the timer.

There appears to be a variable temperature dial marked 175° to 400°. Does it work?

Don't get the one without temperature control knob in front, review said it doesn't have temperature control. I got mine from Best Buy with temperature knob in front. https://www.bestbuy.com/site/bell...Id=6412320

For the size yes, just a very basic air fryer.

I'm not a big man. 5'4" and 130 lbs but I owned a 2 qt air fryer (different brand) and I thought it was too small for my needs. I'd go 4 qt minimum.

I've been using this type of air fryer for a few months now, and I have to say, it's a game-changer for small households.
