love costco but for $9 more you can get a wd black sn7100 from amazon https://www.amazon.com/WD_BLACK-S...DZK9C789/?

The NM790 is one of the coolest running drives and is single-sided if that matters to your device/cooling solution. I run them in a passive cooled enclosure and never throttle with 100% duty cycle.
It's also, IIRC, faster than the SN7100, cooler (lower idle wattage drive), and has a larger 3,000 TBW rating. There may be some other drives out there that now fit my need better, but the NM790 is where I ended up as the perfect compromise for a mobile or passive unit.

I agree with this.
I like a good Costco deal, but this is not mindblowing
