10% off retail price, first notable sale of these titles I believe for the physical game cards:

https://electronics.woot.com/offe...cnt_wp_1_2
https://electronics.woot.com/offe...cnt_wp_1_3
https://electronics.woot.com/offe...cnt_wp_1_1

Not an amazing deal but if you want to buy these games and want them physical, this is the first I've seen. Free shipping if you have Prime.

These have been out less than 2 months. After the initial record-breaking launch, Switch 2 sales have cratered; it took less than 6 weeks after launch for consoles to be readily available. Nintendo priced S2 and the games way too high, the only people willing to spend that much were rich families, Nintendo diehards, the dozen or so people looking for a more powerful Switch, and content creators. To make matters worse, Mario Kart World players and content creators are starting to complain that online lobbies are low on players. For the newest Mario Kart. Which came out less than 2 months ago. And unfortunately the rest of the catalog just isn't that appealing at the moment. Besides MKW (which has its own myriad of complaints to address), DKB (another game that won't see much interest in 2 months, it's basically a rage room with 6-7 hit singles) is single-player only, and that's it for the new (not remade) first-party titles. To make matters worse, only first party new S2 launches scheduled for the remainder of 2025 are Kirby Air Riders (2025) and Pokemon Legends Z-A which is currently scheduled for mid October 2025. After that, Splatoon Raiders doesn't even have a launch date yet. And that's IT for confirmed 1st party titles. There's no mention whatsoever of another Smash Bros, 2D Mario (I think Nintendo are kicking themselves for releasing Wonder on S1), 3D Mario, 2D/3D Zelda (more woes caused by Totk and Eow), ANYTHING.
Metroid Prime 4 is also confirmed for both S2 and S1. But I agree, if you are not completely excited by those few games, and already own a Switch 1, it is better to wait. I have such a huge backlog, I am just going to wait for the inevitable Switch 2 OLED version. Or Steam Deck 2...

Why do people buy these at these crazy prices? Just buy the switch 1 version for $50 then do the upgrade for free. If you don't have online expansion it pays for itself the first upgrade
This is what I did. I found a deal for TotK for $40, + $9.99 for the upgrade is way cheaper than the switch 2 version. Best i found for BotW was $54, but + $9.99 is still cheaper than the switch 2 version. I'm still happy, saved a little through this path. I don't have the tiem to play online much, so I skipped NSO, at least for now

I'm tired of hearing comments like 'it works on all regions'. If I'm paying US price, I want US versions! I mean if I wanted the overseas version I would source my game overseas.

All switch 2 products should be reported as scams. You should all be ashamed of yourselves for wasting your money.

The upgrade isn't "free" really. With your NSO + Expansion pack subscription you have access while NSO+Expansion is active. When the sub runs out, I assume you lose your upgrade just like you lose access to the additional DLC courses for MK8.

The expansion pass is $30 more per year for an individual pass, and $35 more per year for family. The two Switch 2 Zelda upgrades would otherwise be $10 each ($20), paid once.

So it doesn't pay for itself, even with both of them on an individual plan since $20 < $30.

I'm in the middle of a family sub without expansion, so I would lose money to upgrade mid-cycle and pay more for the expansion as a result of it being a family sub. Easier to just pay the $20 once.

FYI, Woot is known to send an 'international' version. Not the US version. Not sure on these specific ones but on got burned on on think Mario Party because it's supposed to come with Nintendo Online but the Woot one didn't.
That is why i have resisted games for Switch 2 from Woot. With all of the lockout issues, i dont want to risk it. Doubt i will ever play this one and i really want to as I will not pay $80 (or 71) for a game. I am actually a bit disappointed in myself for getting the switch as I bought it after we learned Nintendo continuing with anti consumer garbage.

To clarify on these. International version or not, these specific games will have no issue running on a U.S. Nintendo Switch 2
I would not risk buying international versions of SW2 games. The SW1 was pretty much free and clear of any region locking. Nintendo is much more interested in region locking this generation. And while these games might be fine there's a slight risk that they would have issues. Unfortunately even used games are a bit risky this generation. If the previous owner copies the game and are playing it on their switch and that S/N shows up on your console you could get banned.

Customer Note: All Nintendo Switch Video Games are Region Free and will function normally in any Switch console. Additionally, units might ship with Spanish as the secondary languages on the packaging.

$80 a game is just crazy. Especially for games that out years ago.
so don't buy it
