This model does NOT have a built in battery, which kills the deal for me and my needs.

Um, yeah, that's exactly why it's $350 off. A new model will be replacing it.

Awesome deal! I already have a 710 and even though I would love a second to pair with it, having 1 is already overkill.

Great speaker. Only cons are it is heavy as hell and you need an outlet for power. If you want to go completely wireless you need the 300 series which runs off a battery. The 700 series is better for loudness and bass.

Definitely an overkill having two.I don't even turn the bass boost on. You position it at the right spot, sweet bass. One paired with the 310...great sound.. Will check out reviews for the 720 for sound updates though, most likely a removable battery like the others.

Great speaker. I just hate the sound it makes when turning on. Also, when you go above like 70 volume it starts to sound a little weird. I'm not a sound expert but it's a great speaker for this price. It's heavy as hell and hard to carry because there are not handles in a good area to lift it.

I currently use the PartyBox 120 as a speaker for hosting trivia which is okay audio output but I could use a louder setup to drown out people who are talking. Anyone here by chance have experience with both? I feel like the JBL PB 310 would meet my needs but if I can get something with even more output for the same price it's like why not.

"Portable" speaker that weighs 61lb and requires a power outlet? Definitely pushing the limits of portability. I'm sure it sounds good though. 800w RMS is nuts.

I have a 310. Do you pair them wired or wirelessly? Are there any issues with the sound syncing?

Does this have good bass comparable to the 310? I know the 320 ruined that. I'm honestly in the market for a 310 but at this price...
