They aren't the same. The one in Costco website appear to be the BE10000 as per the picture with 4x 2.5gbe ports versus this one having 2x5gbe and one 2.5gbe.

It is BE11000 but the model itself is different. The one sold at Costco only hast 2.5gbe ports whereas the one sold at best buy is the pro version and has two 5gbe ports plus other 1 2.5 gbe port.

Yes their home shield plus service, which expands upon privacy and security options. You still get the basic options for free. Only company that currently does not have a pay wall is Asus, cause everyone else uses similar pay walls like EERO, Netgear, Linksys, and the list goes on.

I am about 3 years overdue on updating home network for a single floor 2br apartment (currently running on a RAX50 and a couple of extenders). Is this a good long term option?

Was $349 at Costco. Yes, 4x2.5Gb ports vs 2x5Gb. Not a particular issue for most, but worth knowing.

Tplink barely updates their firmware for planned obsolescence forcing you to buy their routers more frequently.

I would rather just purchase an Asus and just know I will have support years down the road instead of the luck of the draw support with tplink if any.

Just bought the one at Costco for $349. Model BE11000. As mentioned, it only has 4x2.5Gbps ports on each node. Amazon has the BE14000 offering 14Gbps wifi with 8-stream connections for more $ of course.
