The clamp is pretty strong and the magnets are super strong. If that is going to be an issue, don't get any of these holders with the round ring of strong magnets. It kind of inevitably moves the position of the holder when you take the phone off because it holds too strong.
I'm very pleased to hear an: "airplane phone holder" is really useful while traveling on a plane. Thank you.
Especially, you don't need to put your phone on the small table and keep your head down looking at it for hours, or hold your arm up which gets tiring. Fixing your phone at a higher position with this is very friendly to your cervical spine.

Just used the LISEN one, it was tricky to get it locked onto the tray table on my short flight without it being down. But then on my long haul from DFW to Doha, it was amazing. Just had my tablet stuck in front of the screen with my own headphones listening to music. Could adjust my blankets and my legs. Fell asleep without worrying about dropping my tablet. And yes my Samsung tab s7+. Stuck to it's magnetic back cover under the stand. Just fold the stand all the way up to expose the magnet ring and it is locked on. So worth it.
Nothing with springs "locks" into place. Springs are loose an bouncy an lose tension over time. If you really want to secure stuff the twist screw mounts are what you get. There are assorted clamps an arms that can be bought that can be repositioned an put together /taken apart to secure devices. ******** This is generally what will be used to mount things you don't see in videos; like mics or cams. 100% gaurentee no professional camera/media site has spring loaded clamps for this reason.Yes they cost more an look industrial. I like the professional look myself. My devices I'm usually mounting cost far more than the correct clamp.*** Loosing years of info/settings if a device gets smashed (an is more economical to buy a new one than fixing it) is a bigger factor in this than device cost for me. I've set up hundreds of devices over the years an eventually it's not "cool I get to play with computers" as much as it used to be 😂**-- I wish I knew how to add a space in the new SD format
