Hope you don't need it any time soon. Look at the shipping dates.

I'll preempt the inevitable comment, "$125 for a camp chair!?" by explaining that this is intended for backpacking and has a good combination of light weight, sturdiness, small packed-size and comfort, which is why they charge so much for it.

I have a backpacking chair that I got from some no-name brand on Amazon for $30, which works fine, but is bulkier and weighs 2-2.5 lbs. I got a great deal on the Helinox chair a year ago and decided that saving the 0.5-1.0 lbs was worth the money for me. Some backpackers don't even carry a chair, but I find that I sit in it a lot when I do a trip.

looks like a great chair for a base camp but imo the best thing 4 backpacking is a crazy creek chair or any of the knockoffs: no poles no legs rolls up easy to take out whenever u stop on the trail doubles as extra sleeping pad, a very versatile tool.

As a backpacker I second this anchoring pretty sweet after a 12+ mile day with significant elevation gains.

This is a high back chair which I've never used but looks comfy as heck.

Right now though REI has the Helinox chair zero in white for $112 and about .5 lbs less weighing in at just about 1lbs total packed down to the size of a Nalgene bottle

A little Smaller. A little lighter and a little cheaper.

Keep on keeping on!

That weighs 1lbs 4+oz. And you are still on the ground. In the back country there is a lot to be said about having some clearance between you and the ground. I crazy creak chair looks about the same circumference as a helinox zero. But also longer so from the looks it takes up space in / on the pack. Though more expensive I'd still vote for the helinox. More expensive but lighter and as far as I can tell actually more compact. Those are very good benefits for backpacking.

One thing I've learned backpacking is having backpacking chairs helps with tick safety. On a few occasions I've found ticks crawling on me after sitting on provided picnic tables or other things; they don't seem to easily get up these.

Yes because everyone knows only true hikers choose to purchase a $125 chair, especially one in pure bright white.
