This is a great deal and I really want to pull the trigger, but from the posts I've seen of damage from delivery, I'll have to pass. Seems like going through the refund process from BuyDig is a pain.

Thin screen will multiply the shipping risk factor by 3x. Thermal heat dissipation will also be affected by this design. I would not purchase a TV unless I could fire it up and check for defect.

Hi,
We are aware that some customers have received televisions with damaged screens, and we want to assure you that we are addressing each case promptly. While there is always a small risk of damage during shipping, we found that the way these particular screens were packaged by Panasonic made them more fragile than usual. To help prevent this from happening in the future, we have recently reinforced our packaging.

I bought the 65" tv, from Costco, a couple of weeks ago. When I opened it, the screen was cracked in two places. Needless to say, I'm sending it back. And from bad to worse, they don't sell them anymore. So, I'm sending it back and have to look for a good priced 55" or 65" or 75" TV that can handle a very bright room.

Thanks for the response. I will try ordering the 65" again. The first one I ordered arrived damaged, and I was issued a refund.

I'll pull the trigger and place an order for 55" when the price is $300 or $350.

Any chance the price for the 65" can go back to $500?
