Don't buy the thermometer pool float through the govee site thinking you can use the govee water leak sensor hub(a different product you may already have today). I did this and of course, the water leak hub doesn't talk to this device. You must buy the combo.

Same, thanks!
I had a Firelex that took on water and failed pretty quick... hopefully this will have some longevity... plus the Alexa tie-in is nice.

What are people planning to use the info for? I can't think of anything meaningful to automate with it that isn't already done by the pool equipment itself.

It's my philosophy that a little urine always does a pool good. Keeps the algae happy.

So my iaqualink only shows temp when on and Ive been running the pump only at night.. (12am to 6am). When I want to swim on the weekends I have to either check the floating turtle or turn the pump on to check the pump. Hopefully this will close that gap.

Do these not get sucked into the skimmer? Every small float thing in my pool always get sucked into the skimmer.

I am wondering why is there a need to know pool temperature at multiple times per day? I just go to the pool, stick kitchen thermometer and I am done. Never understood the need for these.

Totally agree. So many things that can change the real temperature of these types of thermometer, I doubt it's very accurate.

So that I don't have to do this. So that I can check in two seconds using my phone while sitting on the couch.
