That is entirely untrue. I'm on a 3070 and my kid is on a 4060, both worse than this and have no issues at 1080p gaming for anything.

If you are trying to run 4k with ray tracing, sure, but a 4060 at 1080p with maxed setting on Valorent, CS, Overwatch, all consistent 200+ fps.

Appears to be the same specs at the same price as the Micro Center PowerSpec G238 deal (https://slickdeals.net/f/18377233-ymmv-powerspec-g238-i5-14400f-rtx-5060-32gb-ddr5-1tb-ssd-899-99). Both appear to be a good deal so long as you don't mind the 8GB VRAM on the RTX5060. The MSI is maybe a little bit stronger a brand, but essentially the same deal.

Its marketed as a gaming desktop, its dead on arrival. Price could be $500, it still would be incapable of doing what it advertises far too often.
GAMING could mean ANYTHING, lots of fun games with less graphics to play where these specs are just fine

It will run any current games. 8 gb is more than enough at 1080p. You guys just regurgitate shit other people say as original thought and it's almost always wrong.

This is the biggest danger of our times. Maybe it is time for AI to take over. People can't think for themselves and make their own facts and worlds in their views.

Yes and no, you can always just shop during Black Friday or prime day for the best deal, but this is a solid deal for end of July/early Aug.

There is some truth in what you are saying and there is some truth in saying that Nvidia is being and has been extremely stingy with VRAM for quite some time now. And in some cases it has gotten worse the last generation or two. The RTX 3060 compared to the 4060/5060 is a good example of this. The RTX 3060 had 12gb of VRAM and utilized a 192 bit bus. The 4060 and 5060 now only have 8gb of VRAM and use a 128 bit bus. The 4060 was barely any better than the 3060(and there are benchmarks that show it is actually worse in some VRAM demanding games).

But you are also correct that the vast majority of games will play nice with 8gb VRAM @ 1080p. Nvidia is going to try to make up for all this VRAM stingyness with the upcoming SUPER series refresh cards.

Here's an example of how Nvidia could have been FAR MORE consumer friendly when it comes to the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti - there never should have been a 5060 Ti 8gb SKU. The 16gb SKU is fine and it could have/should have been $399 USD. The RTX 5060 could have had 2 SKUs - 8gb @ $279.99 and 16gb @ $329.99. But because Nvidia faces almost no competition(sorry AMD and Intel) in the GPU space, and because they care far more about AI these days, they don't care about consumers much at all it seems. I say all this as someone who owns an RTX 5090 lol

Very true. They just watch YouTube reviews and state same stuff as influencer. 8gb is plenty for 1080p.
