If you are trying to run 4k with ray tracing, sure, but a 4060 at 1080p with maxed setting on Valorent, CS, Overwatch, all consistent 200+ fps.

This is the biggest danger of our times. Maybe it is time for AI to take over. People can't think for themselves and make their own facts and worlds in their views.

There is some truth in what you are saying and there is some truth in saying that Nvidia is being and has been extremely stingy with VRAM for quite some time now. And in some cases it has gotten worse the last generation or two. The RTX 3060 compared to the 4060/5060 is a good example of this. The RTX 3060 had 12gb of VRAM and utilized a 192 bit bus. The 4060 and 5060 now only have 8gb of VRAM and use a 128 bit bus. The 4060 was barely any better than the 3060(and there are benchmarks that show it is actually worse in some VRAM demanding games).
But you are also correct that the vast majority of games will play nice with 8gb VRAM @ 1080p. Nvidia is going to try to make up for all this VRAM stingyness with the upcoming SUPER series refresh cards.
Here's an example of how Nvidia could have been FAR MORE consumer friendly when it comes to the RTX 5060 and 5060 Ti - there never should have been a 5060 Ti 8gb SKU. The 16gb SKU is fine and it could have/should have been $399 USD. The RTX 5060 could have had 2 SKUs - 8gb @ $279.99 and 16gb @ $329.99. But because Nvidia faces almost no competition(sorry AMD and Intel) in the GPU space, and because they care far more about AI these days, they don't care about consumers much at all it seems. I say all this as someone who owns an RTX 5090 lol
