Don't get me wrong; it is a fun game.

There will be DLC

I played this on game pass and it was fun. Then I played it again for the difficulty achievements. Then I had to play it a 3rd time because you need to play the specific difficulty to unlock specific rewards/achievements. After my 2nd run I was bored as there's little change. If this was $30 I would say grab it and enjoy however at $50 you're going to want to wait for the DLCs to drop.

Doom 2016 was amazing. OG Doom still holds a special nostalgic place for me. Dark Ages was good the 1st time but replaying is a chore even if you skip cutscenes and race through only upgrading 3 main weapons and 1 specific melee and not dying because there's modifiers to deal 1000x damage and take less damage amd make demons attack less.

Great game and decent price if you're ok with a 15-20 hour experience. You could get more out of it if you're a trophy hunter. Not much replay value or content atm but DLC is expected (no clue on the time table but I'd guess something before the end of the year). Will probly drop to $50 soon and then ~$40 by Black Friday/winter.

I enjoyed the game, but I also got it for free with my 5070 Ti purchase. If you really like Doom, I'd say $50 is worth it. $70 is way too high.

the sobs at nvidia make it so you basically have a month to claim the game. I didn't build my new system that quickly, so I lost my license. the most valuable company in the world couldn't negotiate a little better terms for the promotion for their clients they are already running through the ringer. It'd be like if they were doing a crappy rebate scam. Not sure why I would expect them not to do this...

Yeah that's a huge bummer. You could have redeemed it on another PC with the Nvidia app, but I'm not sure why it's such a short window. And I bet there's no customer service to talk to either.

I'I'll wait for under $20 then. Way too much for a 20 hour game.

While I enjoy Doom games, they're never worth more than $20 to me.

Totally your right. Personally, I value how the devs at id software respect our time by creating badass games free of the bloat filling fetch quests/mini games and upgrade grinds. How you value that is up to you

Sometimes you want 100 hrs of Final Fantasy, sometimes you need 20 hrs of DOOM.
