Asked in the Airpods thread, but has anybody returned their doordash order to Best Buy?

If so what all is involved?

Can I just get a refund to a store merchandise card or gift card? Since it sounds like there are issues when refunding to the original payment card (which in this case would be the card the driver used).

For me it defaulted to a NYC store. Just go back to the main page and search for Best Buy, it should come up with your local store.
THanks, that worked.

F*cking brutal "tip" of $14 in my case. But there's the BB discount, -$10 quarterly discount and $0 DashPass membership with Chase Sapphire.1m Thunderbolt 5 cable + 240W USB-C cable, both Apple. Comes out to $77.75 all-in.Versus driving to store and buying there (with no discounts):-$70 TB5 cable-$25 240W USB-C cable~$6.65----------$101.659.8 miles away. So ~20mi round trip. Say I get 18mpg average. $3.60/gallon for Premium (SE NC). So that's $4.$105.65 for items + gasoline. Ignoring tires, time, depreciation.Drive there myself: $101.65DoorDash: $77.75Hard to argue against it... Even if I went to BB as part of another trip (to Target, BJ's, etc) --> no discounts.
Simply don't tip $14. It's the size of a stick of gum. Adjust accordingly (including how far you are from the store).

Haven't seen anyone else mention this, but this model doesn't have DRAM cache. As such, these drives can be cheaper, but may also have potential drawbacks depending on your use case. Please do your own research to see if it will impact you or not. My take, it's not worth saving a few bucks for the potential performance hit. Plus, I may end up reusing the drive for something else later on and don't want to be limited by not having the DRAM to begin with.

Was hoping DK Bananza would be available, but not listed in Doordash Best Buy for me. Best deal I can find for something I can use is a 4-pack of Airtags. On sale for $80, after promo, $10 from Chase credit, but adding in fees, ends up at $60. Great price, though I've seen 4-packs for sale at $60 for Black Friday in the past.

From the reviews I've read, the SN7100 has very fast flash memory and supports HBM so the performance as an internal drive is surprisingly good for a DRAMless SSD. People are recommending it over the SN850X which has DRAM!

On the other hand, one should use SSDs with DRAM in an external enclosure since HBM doesn't work. At least for USB; Thunderbolt may tunnel PCIe over the cable depending on the enclosure used.

With the delivery fee and tips, I'd say not. Just wait for it to go on sale on Amazon or something.

The link in the original post appears to be for whoever posted it. For a Best Buy in New York.

I would just close that tab, browse to DoorDash in a new tab, and then locate the Best Buy nearest to you. That's what I ended up doing. Now the Best Buy I see in DoorDash is ~10 miles away instead of ~430 miles, LOL. I had the same reaction as you when I first saw the NY fee, and figured something was whacky.

guys does anyone know how doordash handles the promo code if one of items ordered is out of stock and the total falls below the amount needed for the code? ($60 in this case). I'm thinking of picking up the logitech pencil but it is currently on sale for $56.99 so need a filler to get it over $60 for the promo code to work .. thanks!
