Pretty good deal. These tend to be >$3 at Walmart or normal grocery stores.

Dollar tree has some, but these are a bit better. I use these all the time on the smoker.

I'm curious as this seems like it would make clean up a breeze. Do you still get as good of smoke coverage? What items do you smoke?

I usually Sous Vide things before smoking them (cheating, I know). I've been doing pork butts or briskets recently. Sous vide for 24 hours at 150, then smoke for a few hours to finish.

I typically pour the bag juice and meat into the tray, throw it on the grill. Then I'll pull the main piece of meat out of the tray and put it on the grates, leaving the tray on the cooler side of the smoker. Every 30-60 minutes I'll dip the pork butt back into the juice to get her wet . Towards the end, I'll shred the pork butt into the juice and mix it all up for sandwiches.

It'll definitely block some smoke from the bottom side, but preserve moisture. If you're purely just smoking, these are handier towards the finishing stages.

I also use these for baked Mac and Cheese, or basically anything I don't feel like cleaning a casserole dish for.

What's with that $3 delivery charge added on? Is that new?

I haven't ordered from costco for a while, but even for low priced items, there was never an add-on charge.

Same here. Mac'n'che, green bean casserole, whatever we might bring to a family gathering.

Also great for Scout potlucks and International Day at the grammar school.

If you belong to Costco, great go for it. But most people do not.

It's better to smoke the meat for hours then transfer to a foil tray and cover to finish. I do this only for pork butt. 8-9 hours in the smoker then put in the foil tray and cover with foil. Go back in the smoker or finish in the oven until it's probe tender usually 200-205 F final internal temp.
