This is 5.56 lbs vs the 4.4lbs of the Legion 5 that's also on sale. So different kind of use case/form factor.

Delivery is fast. And the machine is faster. Love pretty much everything when I compare with my 11 Gen LG Gram 17. The only downside I can think of is the lack of fingerprint support. Even the web camera is fantastic!

Thinking of pulling the trigger on this - The other 5i with 16GB of RAM is only $50 cheaper and has a smaller screen too, so this is by far the superior deal, or am I missing something here?

This also stacks with student/teacher discount making it $1270 or $1539 for the ultra 9 275hx/5070ti variant

Lenovo is offering Back to School discounts on select models.
The Pro 5i 5070ti model I am planning to purchase is $1,709.99 with the discount coupon, and if you are a student/teacher/related discount group, you can get an even better price.
However, since I live in California, I think I will use my student/teacher discount to offset some or all of the sales tax :-(
But it's still much cheaper than the regular price.

The student discount only deducts $42 - how the heck did you get it to drop so much?

The price is long gone. Education discount definitely got me more than $42 it was more like $2xx. Maybe they changed the education discount too
