Asus and MSI seem to always hide the brightness, it apprears it's 400 NITS:

Nice! Thank you. Pretty interesting they don't mention that since it is a higher quality IPS display which is uncommon in laptops.

A 400-500 nits QHD+ 165Hz 100% DCI-P3 IPS display is "not really great"? You need to redefine what you consider as not really great.
