Sanrenmu as a cheap knife company isn't a bad one. But these knives, with those steels, are going to make you sharpen them every day. Worth $20? maybe as cheap loaners you can give out, but these won't do you too well as EDC. The rambo knife is kind of funny.

I carry that grey one as my EDC and I like it alot. Not the best blade ever, but it has solid construction.

I also picked up this deal. I would say that as far as small shitty knives go, these are top tier. They. Fit together very nicely and lock and unlock exactly as they should. I also carry the grey one as my EDC. Nice and light and would not be broken hearted if I lost or broke it. Worth the money by my reconning.

The two Sanrenmu 8cr14 knives are decent, but that Rambo is trash. These deals were better when they had three decent knives and I won't be interested unless they go back to that.

It also has a very clever lock in the thumb stud. It won't open unless you push down on the little stud thing which sounds like a passion but it's actually kind of nice.

Cheap? Sure. Throw it in the car.

I have used the Sanrenmu 7049 the one with the carabiner clip on my kayak used for fishing in brackish and saltwater and maybe sharpen it twice a year. Surprisingly it has held up to the salt with a rinse at the end of trips and other knives with the same rated steel have locked up and rusted completely after one or two trips and had to be tossed.

That particular knife with the carabiner clip design and and ingenious and great functioning blade hold closed lock is one of my all time favorite and most used knives at any price. I have access to knives that cost hundreds yat often have that one in pocket. It is great compact and light EDC. I carry it and have them stashed and use them in various locations and I do not think I have sharpened any of them except maybe a cursory once or twice twice a years thing.

Sanrenmu steel outperforms many of my other more expensive knives steels that claim to be better. Is it super high end or something absolutely not but I have carried these and other Sanrenmu in pocket for year they did not need to be sharpened daily.

Thing I love about Sanrenmu that even with these small budget knives the builds are great. I have never lost a screw in one. I have a CRJB with D2 and micarta that I paid $30 for. Six months in with it mostly being in a gear bag the clip wiggles and it is missing scale screws and I might switch back to my Sanrenmu 710 that I probably have had for fifteen years with no problems. Same steel in that one I believe and it does not need any inordinate amount of sharpening.

You do not describe a "shitty" knife but a nice one that operates well and of good value and nice build. I buy, sell and use knives with some priced high and some $7 Sanrenmus are my all time favorites. If you want a really nice little larger but great carrying Sanrenmu try the 710.

The other knife non Sanrenmu I do suspect and am pretty sure is a shitty knife. I'd wait for the all Sanrenmu bundle they do.

The black knife is responsible for 4 stitches in my thumb. Remember kids, cut away from your body.
