The traditional discounters have this stuff in abundance. These "deals" aren't just ways for the manufacturers to skip the retailers and sell for a higher price. These staff here gets their kickback by posting on behalf of the manufacturers. When SD started, it was deals that were found by members and posted to help each other out. Now 80% of the deals are just deals from the manufacturers and retailers to clear stock that isn't priced that great but because staff can post them on the FP, it makes people think it's a good deal.

It's decently made. It doesn't have zippers like others are saying here. It's like a big rubber plastic ziplock type seal.

The whole thing is welded plastic seals over polyester with thick insulation. The inside is one continuous material with no or almost invisible seams.

I like this style of cooler but there are some flaws to it- they just aren't as durable as hard coolers and they are impossible to repair. The plastic welding over polyester traps water and the two I have had developed tiny mold lines under the welding even though they were stored dry.

I prefer using this style cooler with backpack straps for the beach and family picnics. Hydroflasks old version incorporated waterproof storage for things like your phone and wallet. These new ones they removed those and make you buy these very overpriced modular satchels you have to and add to the cooler. What's worse instead of using standard molle or other backpack attachments they made a proprietary system for connecting them. It's an obvious cash grab and an overall worse design.

Zippers. Not sure of quality but if its anything like Yeti's, they're super annoying and will eventually fail.

We've had one for a couple years and love it. Perfect for day trips to the zoo or park with two toddlers for keeping snacks and drinks cool. We've also done a couple overnight trips and loaded it with drinks and ice packs. Packs stay frozen for 24hours in the Californian summer heat. You do need to grease the zipper seasonally and I've added a zipper pull to make it a little easier. I was happy with ours for $150ish and a thinking about buying a second one at this price.

Anyone drink straight out of one of these? 18L would be big enough to bring sports drink for my ultimate team, but curious if others use it this way?

Not really equivalent because that one has a reservoir which is very limiting in a small tote like this.
