Now that is a freaking deal. Got one. You should post it - this is a very good price.

Yep, same here; rep given. Thanks, samham.

I've been wrestling with a stubborn lawn mower blade retainer bolt for two seasons now, and I'm really hoping this latest attempt with PB Blaster works.

It's pretty embarrassing to admit, but I still don't own an impact wrench. All I've got is a measly Craftsman 3/8" socket set, and that cursed bolt refuses to budge.

In the second year of my tragic battle with the dastardly blade, I thought I'd turn the tide with a 24-inch extension breaker bar [amazon.com]. The leverage gave me hope, but alas! The bar's made for 1/2" sockets and doesn't fit my 3/8" set. Now I'm off to hunt down an adapter to even stand a chance.

At this rate, I fear the blade will emerge victorious, and my defeat plus emasculation will be complete. That said, the mower still cuts surprisingly well despite the blade's dull edge. I heard grass-cutting effectiveness is 90% rotation speed, 10% sharpness [youtube.com]. Perhaps TMI, but the story of my epic struggle most be told...

Find a piece of steel pipe to put on the handle of your 3/8 ratchet for leverage. Also make sure your bolt is not reverse threaded (although 99% of the blade bolts are not).
