Is this a good watch? Is this a good deal? It doesn't seem like there's a lot of reviews. The movement sounds pretty good. Maybe a little loud which I don't care about. Thinking about suggesting for a 15 yr wedding anniversary.

The ETA 2892A2 is one of the best mechanical watch movements ever made, known for being thin and reliable. It's been used in some of the most respected watches ever made costing 10-20X times as much as this one. Omega, Tudor and Cartier are examples of brands that have used the 2892A2.
I'd recommend the 38mm. The 42mm face looks strangely vacant on such a thin bezel. And count on spending another $50 on a decent strap.

A bare 2892A2 movement (and its Swiss doppelganger, the SW300) cost more than this! I'm waiting for Seiko 'Gene Kranz' or might consider it just for the movement.

Yah it's a pretty good deal. Nothing really special and I bet this price is not totally unheard of, but you could do WAY worse.

The ETA Calibre 2892-A2 is Great Power House movement. The quality of this watch for this price is exceptional. These gold plated cases are the reason these didn't sellout many years ago. If you like the gold, buy it!
The stainless steel version with the Champagne dials sold out in a couple months.
