Took it for a bright room as it advertised as anti glare. Returning it as it is unwatchable due to glares throughout the day.Credit where due - it's great in the evenings

Glare, blooming, terrible mission compensation. This should be a bargain basement set. At this price it's still overpriced.

I have the 98" QM7K that was on sale for $1999 a couple weeks ago. Absolutely love love love it. But I don't have it set up where glare is an issue

Okay I guess I will not order it. I was thinking it was under $1,000 for a mini LED.

The QM7K is VASTLY superior to this QM6K at fighting glare. You're TV is nearly 3X brighter than the one in OP.

Amen, I have the 98" QM8K from the same deal for $2999, and I'm blown away. It was actually the 98" QM7K that I saw in person which convinced me to return the 83 inch LG G4 flagship OLED and get the TCL. Used to be a huge difference between LED & OLED with halo and grey blacks, but there is barely any noticeable difference between these new TCL mini LEDs and OLED black levels. There is, however one major noticeable difference in favor of the TCL picture quality: brightness. The TCL destroys the OLED in bright scenes while holding its own in dark scenes. Throw in the 98 inch size for cheaper than the 83 inch OLED and it becomes a no brainer. I absolutely love the QM8K and I know I would have been happy with the QM7K as well. Also, the LG G4 has the same clunky, busy, large, non-backlit remote as my entry level LG B2 - I was surprised they cheaped out on the remote for a $4k+ flagship OLED. In comparison, the QM8K remote is a major upgrade - backlit, sleek, streamlined, with a nice metal surface. I was a Sony fan (2011-2016), then Samsung (2016-2022), then LG OLED (2022-2025), and now solidly on Team TCL because they knock it out of the park in terms of quality and value for the price point.

definitely worth stepping up to the qm7k for a few hundred more at this size IMO. Can't go wrong with qm7k or qm8k.

Did you notice all of the YouTuber's gushing over it just a few months ago? I've learned the hard way about those "reviews".

However, my QM7 is a fine set. Try looking for one of those leftover 2024 models which has twice the brightness of the QM6K.

HUGE difference in brightness between the 6 and 7 models.

Yes, but ONLY 7 series and up from TCL. Anything less than that is a huge downgrade in processing, brightness, and quality.

I found the QM8k's software to be sluggish. I turned off Motion and got a little better but for a flatship, my roku hisense from 2020 should not be faster.

The reviewers all watch in pitch black, and could care less if you can use it as a full length mirror replacement in your bedroom.
