Would this be good for cycling, or is there a specific one?

I'm not an expert but I believe this backpack style is made for cycling (at least for those who want to carry the water reservoir on their back while cycling). Each person has their own needs. For example, do you want a lighter backpack with less storage room for your things or do you want a larger backpack?
Also, obviously, if you're just strolling around on your bicycle, you probably don't NEED a hydration backpack.
